The MIA Award 2009 ceremony was held 10th of March 2009 at the City Hall in Århus. The winners are:

The MIA Awards 2009 were presented by former winners of the MIA Award.
Here you see Laundry Manager Pernille Lundvang presenting the MIA Award 2009 to Creativ Company in the category Small and Mediumsized companies. Pernille Lundvang is Laundry Manager in the company MidtVask, that won the MIA Award 2007 in the same category.

The Mayor of Aarhus, Nicolai Wammen presents the MIA Award to The Government Service of Employment and Integration under Copenhagen Municipality (Beskæftigelses- og Integrationsforvaltningen, Københavns Kommune) in the category large public companies. Nicolai Wammen is Mayor in Aarhus Municipality that won the MIA Award in 2006 in the same category.
The Mayor of Employment and Integration in Copenhagen Municipality is giving his speech of thanks for recieving the MIA Award 2009.
Director Bente Overgaard gives the MIA Award 2009 to McDonald's Denmark in the category Large private companies. Bente Overgaard is Director in Nykredit that won the MIA Award in 2007 in the same category.

Maribo Medico was nominated in the category small and medium sized companies.
Økonomi- og Analysecenter, Høje Taastrup Municipality was nominated in the category small and medium-sized companies.
ISS Facility Services A/S was nominated in the category large private companies.
PICTURES OF THE SPEECHES AND ENTERTAINMENT OF THE MIA AWARD 2009
The MIA Award 2009 offered interesting speeches and many good discussions.
Rap-o-fonia started the day with a blast! Rap-o-fonia is a mix of classical music, hip hop and rap. Rap-o-fonia is the perfect symbol and product that manifests when you think in new ways of putting people together.
The master of ceremonies Jens Gaardbo took us all experienced through the programme of the day.
The director of the Danish Institute for Human Rights Jonas Christoffersen gave the opening speech. Jonas Christoffersen spoke about Human Rights and Diversity in a National European and Global perspective.
The Mayor Nicolai Wammen from Aarhus Municipality gave the second opening speech as the host of the day. His perspective was how diversity is seen as the future development of the city of Aarhus.
The key note speaker of the day was J.T. (Ted) Childs, Jr. that had come all the way from South Salem in New York to give a speech at the MIA Award 2009. Ted Childs has a 39-year carrier at IBM, amongst other as the manager of IBMs global Diversity programmes. When he retired from IBM he started his own consultancy company called Ted Childs LLC. Chief consultant Susanne Nour from the Danish Institute for Human Rights spoke about the future of diversity management.
Susanne Nour is also the initiater of the MIA Award, that was presented for the first time in 2004.
The programe offered a very exciting panel discussion with CEOs from former winning companies of the MIA Award. From the left you see the manager of Nykredit Bente Overgaard, HR-manager in Novo Nordisk Stig Flindt, Aarhus' Mayor Nicolai Wammen, Laundry manager in MidtVask Pernille Lundvang and CEO in Dansk Cleaning Service Britta Hansen. The theme for the debate was management of diversity.
Laundry manager Pernille Lundvang explains about her personal commitment to diversity management, and how the employees at MidtVask have been very proud of winning the MIA Award in 2007.
The organisations that represent the jury was represented by: (from the left) Dorthe Thorgaard from KL, Jane Korczak from 3F (that represented the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions (LO)), Rikke Hvilshøj from Danish Chamber of Commerce, Mikkel Plannthin from The State Employer's Authority and Søren Laursen from the Council for Human Rights Equal Treatment Committee. Also Niels Sejrsen from the Conferetaion of Danish Industries entered the stage to talk about what diversity management means to the organisations that is represented in the jury of the MIA Award. The jury members are:
