The MIA Award 2012
Who is best at Diversity in the Workplace?
The Danish Institute for Human Rights now opens the competition for the MIA Award 2012.
Until March 1st 2012 companies can apply for the MIA Award - for diversity in the workplace. Both small and large, public and private companies can apply for the award. They just have to actively promote diversity and secure equal opportunities for all - regardless of differences like gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation. And then you have to be motivated to inspire others to do likewise.
Please remember the deadline for applications is 1st of March 2012 at 12 o’clock
The MIA award ceremony will be held 14th of June at Allige Strandhotel at Bornholm.
• If you wish to apply for the award, you can download the application form in English here (Danish version clik here).
The Danish Institute for Human Rights is offering to pay companies a visit in order to guide them through the application process. This makes the process easier and is at the same time an instructive experience. You can book a visit in connection to your application process by contacting project manager Signe Hinz Andersen at 32 69 89 69, or by email at sha@humanrights.dk.
If you know a company you would like to encourage to apply for the MIA Award, you can send an email to sha@humanrights.dk with the name of the company and a short description of why they should apply for the MIA Award. Then we will contact the company.
The Danish Institute for Human Rights' work with diversity in the workplace is supported by the EU, which have enacted new regulations to secure equal opportunities for all - regardless of gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
