The MIA Award is given to both public and private, small, medium sized and large companies. In order to win they have to actively promote diversity and secure equal opportunities for all - regardless of differences like gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation. And then they have to be motivated to inspire others to do likewise.

You can read more about the three principles behind the award here

The Danish Institute for Human Rights' work with diversity in the workplace is supported by the EU, which have enacted new regulations to secure equal opportunities for all - regardless of gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
